Romanzza, a high-end furniture company invited us to design their showroom in Porto Alegre. The briefing was to create a sophisticated atmosphere where they could display their products, present new materials, and receive customers. We were responsible for the design of two spaces: the bar and the meeting room.
For the first one, the concept of a gourmet space was suggested, creating a structure for small events by bringing to the showroom the domestic experience of having guests gathered around good food. Following this idea, sliding doors were conceived to isolate the kitchen from the commercial zones when necessary. These doors, designed in gradient shaded glass, manage to create an interactive visual effect by means of lighting changes. In the center of the composition, a marble counter acts a generous table, placed around a wooden module that contains the required installations and storage spaces.
For the meeting room, the intention was to design an independent space able to generate an immersive experience for customers, for this is where the company’s projects are presented. A wooden volume was then conceived as an envelope that provides privacy while allowing visual connection with other parts of the store. Inside the meeting room, this structure merges into panels – on the wall and ceiling – giving the space a clear identity.
